It was a bright, sunny afternoon in Unova's Nivelisa City, a normally busy and lively location near Aniville Town. Modern day structure and cutting edge technology made its mark in everyday life, yet points of ancient structure and design remained preserved thanks to such technology, and perfectly was mixed in with the man-made properties, becoming popular tourist spots to those who visited. However, in the central area, barriers were erected, and the citizens, as well as their respective belongings were evacuated by order of the Unova Region's Safety Committee. An unusual distortion was occurring as a result of unknowns means, and three Trainers were called in to investigate.

On top of one of the skyscrapers stood a male and female. One black-haired fellow with a blue jacket and black pants. The girl with long, brown hair with brown eyes, who wore a white shirt, and blue shorts and a red cap on top. Both were well-acclaimed for solving the Team Plasma crisis long back, but the third member was even more known for his own personal and worldwide achievements as a Pokémon Trainer and crime-stopper at the same time. However, this said person was not present at this very moment.

As it grew close to 4:00 p.m., the male questioned, "We've nearly been waiting for one and a half hours, are you sure he's going to be here, Nina?" glancing at his watch to be accurate on the mentioned amount of  time.

"Calm down, I doubt a Champion would ditch something important as this, Cheren," she replied, "After all, he had to come from Sinnoh, things can tough when it comes to sky travel." Nina and Cheren, having arrived early so there'd be plenty of time to prepare have been through many trials before, but today seemed much different than what a simple gang could cause. Suddenly, a visible shadow flew towards their direction. The wings of a Mega Pidgeot with a rider on its back soared through the wind, then landing on the cement tiles with grace.

Off this Pidgeot came down its rider: spiked up brown hair, dark black eyes, and wore a gray shirt with a yellow stripe down the middle with his name on the top of a Poké Ball decal at the center, white sweatpants, and a black leather jacket with a yellow circle, with a Magnemite eye and the three screws usually seen on one, all located on the back. And if one could see the back of his shirt, they would notice the word "Unova" printed in a rectangle shape. He was in his early 20's, and remembered what it was like to be a Trainer before being 18 years old, which was a rule in order for one to be an official Pokémon Trainer nowadays. He was granted this right by the actions of his father, which game him this special chance. Yet his energy and expertise on battles remained strong in him as it did back then. He smiled as he greeted the two friends, "Sorry it took me a bit. Air traffic truly was nasty on the way here, especially with Ducklett and Swanna migrating season under way." Suddenly, the Pidgeot reverted back to its normal state, fixing up its feathers afterwards.

"Holy… now how have I never seen anything like that before? That looked so freakin' awesome…" Nina muttered in surprise to the sight of Mega Evolution.

'No way, it really is Sancho San-Torez!' Cheren thought to himself in surprise, 'I never doubted them when there would be a professional helping us, but this truly is the talented Sancho in our presence…' He went up to formally greet him with a handshake. "I-it's a pleasure to meet you, Sancho. For a case like this, I never thought you'd assist us. My name is Cheren," he introduced himself.

Chuckling, Sancho replied, "Heh, pleased to meet you too, Cheren." Looking towards Nina, he continued, "So this is the heroine that protected my home from those losers, huh?"

She smirked, "Maybe so. And this is the dude that handled the abnormal Pokémon spirits within different parts of the region?"

"If you put it that way, then sure," he laughed in reply. Sancho had not only made his way into the Unovan Hall of Fame, he also had connected with the Alpha Pokémon, Arceus in a task to purify the spirits of maddened Pokémon; a daunting task as much as it was to go defeat the Pokémon League. Well, at least in the case of Nina and Cheren.

Nina then joked, "I mean you honestly could've been there to make things easier against those jerks. With a team like what you've got, and a reputation with the mythical Arceus, you would've scared the shit outta them in seconds!"

Sancho sighed, "If so, it could've saved Brycen's life for certain. I'm still a bit bummed due to his death, but I think you did him justice no doubt." Holding his hand out, he said, "Thank you so much, Nina. I'm really glad to see you in one piece."

She accepted the handshake and replied, "Same to you, Sancho."

Cheren then asked out of curiosity, "Nina, do you happen to know Sancho by any chance?"

"We've only crossed paths years ago. So we only know each other a little bit," she replied. Thought she wasn't surprised to hear him ask this, being he's learned about some of her connections to some pretty important people. Not to mention her being the daughter of Sinnoh's current Champion, Kynim.

"Swoosh, take a rest for now, okay?" the professional said to his avian comrade.

"Brrrrr!" The Pidgeot nodded with it's coo as his trainer summoned him back to his Poké Ball.

"Swoosh? Why name the guy Swoosh?" Nina questioned, being she would name her Pokémon too, yet it seemed a bit of an odd choice compared to the other possibilities he could have went with.

Sancho proudly replied, "Because among all the Flying Pokémon I've seen, Swoosh was pretty darn fast when I met him in Almber Island. Y'know, the island not too far from Kanto. I caught him as a Pidgey, and felt with that kind of speed, it was only fitting that I'd name him Swoosh."

"Ah, that does sound cool," she responded, "By the way, what was that… light thing that covered Swoosh when you got off him? And why did he look different than a normal Pidgeot before it happened for that matter?"

"It's called Mega Evolution," the Champion, pulling out his special necklace from under his shirt answered, "Something I never really got to experience until I was close to getting all eight badges. And that was by chance mind you."

"Ah yeah, come to think of it, I might have heard my dad talk about it when we speak on the phone sometimes…" she replied, "Anyway, we did come early, but we don't know all of the details other than the unusual magnetic pulses crap in city the last week-and-a-half."

Sancho fixed his jacket quickly and replied, "Let's walk and talk so we can get to the destination, alright?" The Trainers nodded, and the three began their walk down to the building's ground floor. As time passed, they soon got close to the source of the disturbance, which was located near one of the city's preserved ruins. The writings within the architecture were glowing, and if one were capable of seeing such, waves literally pulsed from the walls.

"This place is one of the many areas in this city that the ancient citizens of Unova preserved the tale of the Original Dragon from long ago–" Sancho started as he looked at the sights.

But suddenly Nina interrupted, "You mean the whole thing about Zekrom and Reshiram being one and the twin kings and blah, blah, blah. Yeah, we're aware of the whole myth stuff being real whatnot," feeling it didn't need to be repeated, even though it was technically important towards explaining this situation.

"Well anyway," he said after laughing towards hearing her say that, "these strange pulses were attempted to be restrained using absorbing generators about four days since it started. But then it got to the point where the magnetic-electrical energy was becoming too much. As we had to shut down the generators, the total amount held back became a slight problem. Thankfully no severe damages was caused by it when it died down, but the city's government agreed that unless the problem was investigated by professional Trainers, meaning us, the people would have to be moved away from their homes for the time being, so no casualties would occur in case it became a disaster." He then pulled out a familiar looking white sphere with a small pattern on it through the center. It has a small glow around it as it was reacting to the flux of energy present in the area. Sancho continued in a more serious manner, "That's why I was entrusted with the White Orb, as Arceus managed to call Reshiram to Sinnoh, so that we could check to see if its theory on the energy being related to its own was true."

Cheren added in, "I'd say with the White Orb's current reaction to the flux is a positive sign to the theory being correct." Taking out another artifact from his bag – a black, white and gray triangular looking tool, he said, "By the way, I successfully brought the DNA Splicers you had sent out to Professor Juniper. It's amazing to know that even this was made in Ancient Unovan civilization. The legends did mention an age of technological advances after all."

"That's right," Sancho agreed. "And Nina, do you have Zekrom in Black Orb form with you?"

Taking out a black colored orb similar in appearance to the White Orb, she smiled, "Do you need to ask? Though it does feel weird to have Zekrom back in this state. What the heck do we need all of this for?"

Sancho, taking a breath following a pause has answered, "Word has it that the original dragon, Vahirom was know to be a Dragon-Steel Type Pokémon. Usually when a magnetic flux like this is present, it potentially messed with other Steel Types as a result. Call me crazy, but I think Vahirom inevitably is returning to its original form."

"WHAT!?" Nina and Cheren exclaimed in unison.

"Remember that my absence was really because I was handling a Team Plasma sleeper cell in Sinnoh, and while doing so had to face Kyurem, the third Pokémon associated with Reshiram and Zekrom. When the DNA Splicers that Cheren is holding right now was in their possession, Reshiram was originally summonsed by them before Arceus would later ask the white dragon to be here in this state."

Cheren stated, "The DNA Splicers' power reacted to Kyurem and allowed it to take a small form change, in which it could use something known as Absofusion to merge with either Reshiram or Zekrom, somewhat recreating half of what made up Vahirom. Such a method resulted in either White Kyurem or Black Kyurem respectively."

Sancho nodded, "Yes, and I had to fight White Kyurem as a result. But with that threat gone, I feel as though Kyurem wishes to try and find out what it's like to be in its original form from long, long ago. And the reason we're here is to make sure that such an occurrence doesn't potentially become a disaster. Are you ready?" he asked as he gripped his necklace, bowing his head in a silent prayer.

Nina and Cheren looked at each other, knowing that while this could be nothing like what they have experienced before. Smiling, they said, "Ready," and suddenly a chill of frigid air filled the city streets. I've formed upon steel beams, concrete sidewalks, paved roads, and other certain spots.

A gigantic shadow soared over the three, and after looping in the sky, landed with a thud. A wave of wind blew out in effect to the force the create emitted onto the ground. Giant pillars of ice grew next to him, his icy aura seemed to swirl around him. "That's K-Kyurem," Nina stated in slight nervousness, "r-right?"

"Yes, there's no mistaking it," Sancho immediately responded as he stared into the steely eyes of the legendary dragon's glare. Kyurem's low voice growled a bit as he became one with the energy of the ruins. Glowing a bit, he then attracted the DNA Splicers straight from Cheren's hands. "Wha!" he exclaimed in surprise as it floated to the icy creature, merging with it. Suddenly, it lifted its body up as it broke the ice that made up its wings, revealing the organic structures under it.

"Kyurem," Sancho suddenly spoke, starting to walk up to it, "you may not recognize my voice not language, but I am the one that saves you from the notorious Team Plasma back in the Sinnoh Region, Sancho San-Torez. What brings you here is something I don't know about yet, but if it's completion you seek, I present to you both the White and Black Orbs." Looking closely at it's yellow eyes from his distance, he asked, "I assume you're planning on doing what I think you're going to do?"

Exhaling its cold breath, the power of the ancients caused both Sancho and Nina's artifacts to telepathically float, as though gravity had no effect on their physics. Momentarily following the rather interesting occurrence, out of the pairs of two spikes attached to the ends of Kyurem's wings fired rose-pink chain-like beams that grabbed the orbs, causing them to shrink and disappear. Their essence integrated into the beast; a bright sphere of light that sparked grew from the center of the tail appendage, and the pull of the magnetism within the city seemed to physically 'pull' into the transforming body of Kyurem.

A bright light enveloped around it several seconds later. Nina, Cheren and Sancho had to block their eyes from the intense glare, as the great transformation continued to happen. The physique of Kyurem grew taller and more complete. The legs grew a bit, and became more muscular near the joints, spawning three toes at the feet; the middle being one bigger yellow talon shape.

The once small arms became thicker and longer, developing claws and armor around the lower sections. Two yellow spiked jutted from the elbows of each respective arm. Soon, the familiars shaped wings of Zekrom grew behind its shoulders with Reshiram's fingers out front, just like where they would be for the fiery dragon's own wings. The tail molded into a mix of both Zekrom's generator-like pattern, and Reshiram's torch like tail inside of the 'casing'. And finally, the neck became the swan-like length the white dragon would have. Above it was the draconian head that showed the details of each of the three dragons mixed together.

At last, the evolution was complete. The atmosphere calmed down a bit, as the electric flux was finally gone. Yet the great legendary from nearly 3,000 years ago was now one. It's gold-yellow eyes looked around at the cityscape, took in the air around, all to start its adjustment to the modern era it was in right now.

Nina, having seen each of the three former dragons that it split into long back couldn't help but stare in a mix of awe and nervousness. Cheren felt the same way, but his emotions were a bit stronger at the time. Sancho simply smiled, knowing that this assumed to be once-in-a-lifetime event was able to be witness by his very own eyes. Though he also wished his own girlfriend and cousin from Sinnoh were here to see this too. "Va…hirom…" Nina whispered its name as she took out her PokéDex.

It read out the words, "Vahirom, the Infinite Gray Pokémon. This ancient being, said to have come from meteorite nearly 3,000 years in the past had helped unite a divided region. The energy in its tail powered technology that benefitted both humans and Pokémon."

"So… this is the… Dragon Type that became those three long back?" Cheren asked, standing by Sancho.

The Trained slowly nodded, "Yes, indeed it is. Not to mention that what remained of it after two-thirds became Reshiram and Zekrom turned into Kyurem. Thus it would make sense that Kyurem was the key to recreating Vahirom if such a time came." Going to Nina, he said, "Nina, take my necklace. I've made a prayer to Arceus just in case you needed some extra assistance in communicating to Vahirom," and slipped off the special accessory, handing it to her.

Accepting it, she replied, "Thanks, Sancho." Placing it around her, she suddenly could feel the Alpha's Power of the Cosmos become one with her. The gray titan looked down, seeing the energy become her temporary spiritual aura, exhaling from its nose as she walked up to it.

Suddenly, the power of Arceus automatically translated her English into Ancient Unovan language, yet she spoke both at the same time. "Vahirom, I am Nina… You may or may not know me… but that doesn't matter right now. I just need to know, are you hostile or friendly?"

Bellowing a medium-loud roar, the dragon replied telepathically in the ancient dialect, "I am neither friend nor foe. Especially to you, the one who Zekrom had entrusted itself to not so long ago. I am only here temporarily, in which I will eventually split apart once more. But as of now, we are unified to understand the modern era as one body, one mind."

Walking up, and putting his hand on the gem, Sancho couldn't help but ask, "And you may recognize me too, correct?"

"Yes, you are the one that saved me as Kyurem, the shell of my original body that the rest of myself inherited, after the other parts of my physical and mental self became a Dragon of Truth, and a Dragon of Ideals. Not to mention, you also saved Reshiram, as we both forcefully became our incomplete fused state. I thank you for showing the courage to not hold back, even as I was pressured by their control to attack you."

"Are you angered by the attempts of manipulation that any person may have done in the past, especially Team Plasma?"

"No," it replied, "not at all. It is apparent that some humans are driven by selfish desire, but others are pure from such, some of whom can oppose such forces if need be." Continuing, Vahirom requested, "Before I understand the world of today, I ask that you challenge me in battle, just so I can dust of my powers once more. Consider it a token of my appreciation of you will."

Looking to Cheren, Sancho asked him, "Hey Cheren, Vahirom requests us to battle him. Y'know you can back out if you want–"

The black-haired Trainer interrupted, "Are you kidding me!? This opportunity would be perfect for my team. I put my trust in Vahirom to keep our teammates alive after all."

Nina complimented, "Hell yeah! That's the spirit, Cheren! Alright, let's do this!"

Lifting its neck up, the same spikes from Kyurem's wings, now behind the shoulders plugged into the tail, causing it and the pattern of its body to glow the same golden color of its eyes. Powering up, it let out a roar, as the three Pokémon Trainers shouted together, "LET'S GO!!!" And the friendly battle between present and past had officially begun.
Alright, so long story short, I had signed up for ky-nim's other contest, where one was to make a story that included her Fakemon created for her Nuzlocke White story, Vahirom. Vahirom is the awesome form of Zekrom, Reshiram and Kyurem as one original dragon. In other words, what they (potentially) looked like when they were one. Because according to canon lore, Reshiram and Zekrom were once one Pokémon long ago, and Kyurem seemingly the husk of what remained from the original form. Nonetheless, I wanted to add some art into this. You know, art in-between some of the paragraphs. Unfortunately I ran out of time, but I feel I did the literature justice by making sure I kept Nina and Cheren in character (though feel free to tell me if I made a mistake or two in my attempts to do so).

Oh yeah, I almost forgot, Ky-nim is best known for her Nuzlocke stories, is working more on the story for Nuzlocke White, and Nina is the female protagonist's name. She's definitely an interesting character in my opinion. Anyway, having some of the Nuzlocke cast was optional, but I thought of doing it anyway, because I had this great idea that included them anyway. I honestly don't care that it's non-canon, I think it would be a fitting what-if all in all. And since it's been I while since I've done something with him, I've brought back my wonderful OC, Sancho San-Torez! WHOO!

So I hope you enjoy my entry, and have a great day y'all!

Sancho San-Torez belongs to me. I also created the city this piece takes place in.
Nina and Vahirom, plus the aspects that come from the Nuzlocke belong to :iconky-nim:.
Pokémon belongs to Nintendo.
