Several years have passed since Son Goku finished training Uub, the reincarnation of Majin Buu. The two would continue to grow stronger as the Saiyan warrior of Earth mentored the human boy to learn how to unlock his latent strength and talent. When all was said and done, Uub decided he needed to go back to his village to protect it. Goku would return to his family, and the planet would continue to thrive in an era of untainted peace. Even after all those years, nobody ever stopped their training.

After having kept his promise to his granddaughter, Pan, Goku would willingly continue to train her as he previously did before she would become self-involved. Her father, Gohan, having stood in for his own dad at the time would continue his scholarly ways, but also continue to hone his strength in order to not let his weakness cost him those he loved and cared about. During this time of peace, Goku’s younger son, Goten met a girl named Valese. The two fell in love and had a steady relationship going for quite a while. He would soon marry her, and father a son named Zero.

Vegeta, the former Saiyan Prince continued to train at Capsule Corporation, where his wife, Bulma would continue to seek ways to improve her technology and allow her warrior husband to challenge himself further. Their eldest son, Trunks married Mai, a young girl he had known for a while since the coming of the God of Destruction who, in truth, had a few secrets that everyone seemed shockingly oblivious to. Mai formerly was part of the Pilaf Gang, trying to help a small gremlin of said name gain his place as emperor of the world. Her youth, along with her comrades had been restored by a wish from the Dragon Balls, but accidentally went too far. Through Pilaf’s humble opinion and continued support, she openly left the trio to reclaim her own life. The couple now has a daughter named Page. Trunks’s sister, Bra continues to live with her folks, as her current plans have not been thought of. But it would seem as their her reluctance to fight is still fairly evident as of now.

Even so, the planet finally saw no major threats harm the prosperity that the Z Fighters had sacrificed plenty to keep. But as the cruelty of fate would have it, those days of peace would soon end once again.

A Saiyan’s pod flew toward Earth at full speed, bearing no specific insignia, yet came from a far away planet that would’ve seen better days. A young teenager was fast asleep, as the pod’s technology kept him from feeling any unpleasant effects from what was a long travel. A few beeps and digital sounds went off as the directional systems became aware of the destination’s presence.

"Wake up Koozan," a computer’s voice eventually told the passenger, "You are now entering Earth's atmosphere." The young male known as Koozan yawned as he stirred out of his slumber. "About time," he said with a smile. "The Saiyans on this planet will certainly be able to help me stop that menace."

Meanwhile, at the annual Son family reunion, everyone from Goku's family had come together to celebrate the family’s prosperity and growth once again. Delicious dishes had been cooked and eaten from, laughs were shared, the good times continued to come from their moment. That was, until the merry air was broken as a new power signature heading toward Earth was sensed by the fighters.

"Hey… is everyone feeling that?" the full-blood Saiyan warrior asked with a skeptical glance.

"Yeah," Goten said. "It's not too far from here."

"I estimate it will be here in about five minutes,” Gohan adjusted his glasses, estimating the signal’s strength and direction.

"What is it?" asked Pan.

"I don't think it's evil," Zero said, noting no malicious vibes as it was.

"Even so, it could be dangerous,” Goku responded, not wanting to take a chance for once. "Gohan, can you tell where it's going to land?"

His son proceeded to remove his glasses before stating, “Yeah, about 10 miles west of here.”

"All right. Then let's get going."

The ship landed exactly where and when Gohan said. It crashed into the ground at top speed. The natural wildlife nearby sprung off as fast as it could, having followed pure instinct in response to the sudden change. Eventually, the family of Saiyans floated down to the ground, bearing witness to the crater’s aftermath, and what lies in the center.

"Isn't that… a Saiyan pod!?" Goku noted, undoubtedly knowing its design, and even having used one before.

Gohan nodded his head, "It looks like one, but there aren't any more of Frieza's soldiers or rogue Saiyans left… or is there?"

On cue with the ending of his sentence, the door of the ship opened. Everyone watched as the new visitor stepped out. His wild, jet black hair spread itself into its natural shape after passing through the roof above the hatch. The small fraction of Z Warriors gasped when they noticed his scouter, standard issue Saiyan armor, and, most importantly, his tail.

"He really is a Saiyan!" the two exclaimed. Yet Goku’s surprise seemed to be slightly overshadowed by his excitement in seeing a rare specimen of his birth race.

But the newcomer causally replied, "I don't know why you’re so surprised. Anyway, are you Kakarot, also known as Son Goku?" asked Koozan.

"Hey, how did you know that?" asked Goku, feeling a bit suspicious by hearing his birth name. Unless it came from a familiar ally, the mention of it wasn’t always used by the most peaceful of Saiyan tongues. "Why are you here?"

"You’ll find that out soon. However, I need you to show me your strength,” Koozan proceeded to explain before going into a fighting stance.

"This... could be trouble. If he really is an evil Saiyan, then–" Gohan mused aloud.

"I think you have the words trouble and fun mixed up,” Zero interrupted with a grin. "I haven't had a good fight in a while, so this better be interesting."

"I agree," said Goku, returning to his previous feeling of excitement, "I'll fight him first."

“Hold on, Grandpa, I meant to say–“ his grandson tried to argue, only to be interrupted by his own father.

"Zero, I understand you want to fight this guy, but I think it would be best to let your grandfather go first," Goten assured him.

"But Dad, if he goes first there won't be anything left of that guy!"

"Will you just shut up and let them fight?" Pan angrily interjected, quickly having had enough of her cousin’s arguing.

Goku got into his classic, familiar fighting stance that he kept along his many ages of fighting. It seemed as though this was finally a chance to once again test a stranger’s power, which he was always willingly inclined to do.

The warrior’s scouter beeped upon studying his current power level. But upon reading the numbers, Koozan clearly knew along with having a gut feeling that he had to have been holding back. Smirking, he turned off the device, tensing up his body and released his blue aura of Ki. Clenching his teeth, he groaned to release more power under a special condition and yelled upon transforming into a Super Saiyan 2. His hair stood up more in an upright fashion, with each ‘branch’ of hair appearing sharper too. His emerald-green eyes stared at his opponent, as his golden aura cracked with blue biological lightning bolts around it.

Everyone stared in awe, especially Gohan, who had been known to first utilize this form long, long ago. Goku chuckled before responding, "So, you're a Super Saiyan 2 as well?" he asked the obvious.

"Well, unless normal Super Saiyan can do the electric thing, yeah, I am,” the Saiyan teen responded with a slight joke. "And I also know that Super Saiyan 2 isn't your strongest form. There’s a level beyond it, and I want you to turn into that."

"I don't have any idea how you know all of this stuff about me. But fine, I’ll gladly entertain you." He responded by raising an eyebrow upon the strange request. Clenching his fists, Goku dug deep into his Saiyan power and reached into his true reserve that he would only save for the most necessary occasions. “It’s been a long time since I used this form, so you’ll have to give me a moment,” he explained as the earth around him started to slightly shake. “Gh… Nnh! HaaaaaaAAAAAH!” The warrior’s shouts echoed out as his golden aura flared into a crazier form with many bolts circulating his transformed body. His eyebrows had seemingly burned away, and his eyes had a black pupil in the middle. Behind his body was his hair, now in a long length that undoubtedly exceeded its normal proportions. The hero transformed into his legendary form, Super Saiyan 3.

His voice spoke, albeit slightly deeper and low-toned, "I should be glad that I’m getting to use this again. Alright, you ready?"

In West City, on the other side of the world, Vegeta, who had been training with a white aura surrounding his body had easily felt the increased power level of his longtime rival. It broke apart as he focused his attention to the sudden development. "This power increase… it’s him! Why has Kakarot transformed!?" he asked himself. "He only uses that form against the strongest of enemies.” He was no stranger to knowing how specifically Goku would use that form, which also backed up his serious curiosity. “I must find out who he's fighting...”

Back on the other side of the Earth, Goku was busy fighting against this new Saiyan opponent. With precise speed and reflexes outmatching that of the lower level, he blocked every single one of the Koozan's punches without even trying. Yet it didn’t stop him from acknowledging the impressive fighting prowess that the fighter displayed. "I have to admit kid, you've got skill," he complimented, only to be met by the teenager’s grin in response.

Eventually, Goku broke the one-sided defensive by thrusting his open hand forward, almost making contact with the fighter’s chest, releasing a powerful Kiai shockwave that threw him back. Koozan stabilized his flight position, albeit upside-down, yet proceeded to cup his hands forward, firing a barrage of Ki blasts straight at the higher-level Saiyan.

All Goku needed to do was release a piercing stare from his eyes, creating another invisible shockwave slightly in front of him, shielding his body from the blasts. As Koozan stopped firing to correct himself, he created small concentration points on the tips of his fingers. As the small cloud of smoke cleared in front of Goku, he saw his hand reach out, firing a spreading wave of small, fast beams. He quickly put up his guard as they reached him, but only sustained practically small damage, with his gi taking tiny burn marks where some of them hit.

His family, who continued to watch on had found the fight to be rather entertaining after a while and mostly didn’t see any killing intent from the sudden stranger. Zero especially seemed to have his interest piqued after seeing his guess of a good potential fight come through. ‘Man, Grandpa’s always the lucky one, isn’t he? Then again, I don’t always get to see him a bit serious like that…’ he thought to himself.

Following the span of that previous minute, Goku now began to focus his power into his fist. He wasn’t intentionally going to release this otherwise powerful technique he saved for a rainy day but intended to scare Koozan and see how he’d react to this. The young warrior could feel a slightly heated wave of pressure and began to feel a bit of a sweat drop or to form. Goku readied himself, proceeding to call out, “DRAGON–!”

But before he could continue, Vegeta’s voice called out, “Don’t you dare, Kakarot!” Goku stopped on a dime and noticed his comrade who had just found them. “Well, aren’t you the killjoy, today,” he teased, “C’mon, it’s not like I was going to kill him, anyway.” But Koozan noticed the warrior of royalty and gasped, jumping away from Goku. "Oh my god, its the Prince of All Saiyans!" He bowed down to him, releasing his transformation and reverting to his normal state.

"Uh… I thought we were fighting–" Goku slightly protested, unexpected robbed of his challenge.

But he was cut off by the glaring anger of Koozan, "How dare you not bow down to prince Vegeta!?" He seemed to suddenly be triggered by the lack of respect that his opponent showed.

"W-what!?" Goku asked, confused. He reverted back to his original state before turning to the others, all of which were just as confused as him. That is, everyone minus Zero, who had been laughing hysterically. All Vegeta did was bring his hand against his face in slight dismay.

"Look, you’re obviously a Saiyan. This I can see clearly, but you should know that I don't care about that anymore," he replied.

"Huh?" Koozan asked, shocked by this sudden revelation.

"However, you are going to tell us who you are right now. Understand?"

He looked at his seriousness, still confused by this unintentional error that was just made. But he shook his head and responded with respect, "As you wish. My name is Koozan. I've come to this planet in search of assistance."

"Okay, but how are you a Saiyan?" Pan asked. "I thought almost all of them were killed during the destruction of their planet."

“Well,” Goten corrected his niece, “give or take a few that some of us fought before, but…”

Koozan continued, "Three other Saiyans survived, which would be my grandparents. I, unlike them, am only 75% Saiyan."

She continued to ask, "Only 75%? Whats the other 25%?"

"Human,” he replied in just one word.

"What!?" asked Vegeta. "How!?"

“Weeeell,” he began as he scratched his head, "I'll be happy to explain later, but right now, I'm hungry. Do you know any good places to eat?" His stomach growled as if it was to confirm his current status.

Everyone unintentionally fell back, except for Goku and Zero. "Haha! Yep, he's definitely a Saiyan," Goku laughed.

Later on, everyone reconvened at Kame House, where a whopping 167 extra large meat lovers pizzas were ordered from the popular chain business, Pizza Fortress. Pan watched, kind of disturbed by the large amount of food that bulk of Saiyans present were able to stuff themselves with. Even her father couldn’t help but let his Saiyan appetite take a bit of control at the moment.

"So…” Goku began to say with his mouth still stuffed with pizza, “can you explain to us how you're part human now?”

Koozan swallowed the last of the food on his plate with a single bite, taking a moment to swallow quickly. "Sure. As I said before, three other Saiyans survived when they were sent away to escape the destruction of Planet Vegeta. There were two males and one female. One of the males was sent to Earth. He married a human and they had a son. That son was my father. Somewhere else in the galaxy, the other Saiyan male met the Saiyan female. They got married and had a daughter. That daughter was my mother. A few years later, my father and mother met. They got married and me and my brother, Vile was born soon after. So anyway, that's how I'm part Saiyan and part human."

"I see,” was Vegeta’s response, finishing the next piece he ate, “So it seems they managed to evade Frieza’s forces. As it turns out, most of the Saiyans were supposedly ordered to stand by on Planet Vegeta following any current missions being completed. Aside from myself and two others, anyone who intentionally didn’t comply would be sought by Frieza’s minions and be killed on the spot. Some, however, were less fortunate to be murdered by some of those bastards during their missions.”

“Really?” he asked, feeling a bit taken back by hearing such brutal news, “Well, I was never really told much about how they specifically got away, but I do know that they managed to make it happen.”

“That’s fair. So why did you come to Earth?” asked Vegeta.

Koozan sighed. His hands pushed his plate to the side a little, losing focus on the need for food at the moment. "It's a tragic story. My parents and I were living peacefully on a distant planet. One day, however, a psychotic man named Xicor came. He stated that his purpose was to take over the galaxies.”

“That doesn’t sound far off from Frieza,” Gohan noted, “Is it possible he’s from his race?”

“Not quite,” Koozan answered, “Actually, Frieza’s race isn’t evil as a whole. Frieza and his family seemed to be a major exception to that. Dad and Mom told me of that, anyway.”

“That seems just about right,” Vegeta admitted, “As much as I can never forgive Frieza for what he’s done, the only people we’ve fought from that race, aside from one exception had been related to Frieza. I did wonder about that for a while.”

Zero finally asked with food still in his mouth, “Then what the heck is this Xicor guy anyway?”

“As it turns out, Xicor is half-Saiyan and half-God,” Koozan answered. A sudden, small period of silence filled the table upon hearing that.

“You’ve got to be kidding me…" Vegeta groaned.

“Another Saiyan?” Goku asked. “And half-God to boot?”

“I wouldn’t buy it if I were you, Kakarot,” Vegeta said before thinking to himself, ‘Unless he had Godly Ki, there’s no way another Saiyan could be anything relative to a God.’ But he then figured it was time to hear Koozan our again. “Forgive my interjecting. Continue.”

“Many people, such as my dad, tried to stop him, but they all ended up dying. Others, such as Vile, joined him and became his servants. Vile soon became Xicor's right-hand man after he proved himself to be his best servant. Soon I learned that Xicor planned to destroy the planet. I also heard legends about a Saiyan on planet Earth who had unlocked the legendary form of Super Saiyan and defeated Frieza. That Saiyan was you, Goku. Knowing this, I quickly rushed to Earth to get help from you… But you should know, it’s very likely my home planet is gone now.”

Goku places his slice of pizza down, registering this information in his mind. “You said your own brother betrayed you and your parents?" asked Goku, suddenly frustrated to the point where he easily cast aside that happy-go-lucky demeanor.

"Why are you so surprised Kakarot?" Vegeta said. "It’s not as if you didn't have a sibling that tried to kill you."

Goku groaned, “You just had to remind us of Raditz didn't you?”

"What's a Raditz?" asked Koozan. "It sounds disgusting."

"He wasn't a food, he was a really weak Saiyan, and one of the Saiyans that was spared along with myself," Vegeta said. "And guess what? Even when Kakarot teamed up with someone who almost had the same power level as him, they still had a real hard time beating him!" Vegeta laughed.

"And then a year later Vegeta and another Saiyan names Nappa came and tried to destroy Earth!" said Zero, remembering the stories his grandfather told him when he was five years old.

Vegeta frowned when he remembered the days he was still evil. Everyone once again stayed silent until a woman, Gohan’s wife spoke up. "Well I assure you, you can stay in this world for as long as you like."

"That's very kind of you. Thank you very much," replied Koozan. He could definitely tell that they were all able to accept him in for now, aside from the fact that he knew he still was just a stranger at this very moment. "But, that's enough about me. I’d like it if you tell me all about you guys."

"Sure, I think I can do the honors," Gohan said in agreement. "Now, you already know a lot about Goku and Vegeta, right?"

"Of course."

"Then I'll start by introducing me. I'm Gohan, Goku's first son. That guy with the short hair over there is Goten, my younger brother."

"Yo, it’s nice to meet you, Koozan," said Goten.

"That woman over there is my wife, Videl,” he said, directing to the woman with raven-black hair and crystal blue eyes.

"Glad we could be of assistance," she smiled.

"As for the old man you met when entering Kame House, he’s the one who lives here, Master Roshi."

"Hey there. It might not look like it, but I’m one of Goku’s martial arts teachers,” said Roshi.

“Oh wow, I didn’t realize he trained under a human mentor,” Koozan admitted.

“Well, he wasn’t the first, but we’ll save that for another time,” Goku smiled, seemingly having gotten past the thought of Raditz. “He definitely helped me become stronger and better, though.”

“And I’ll gladly teach you a thing or two if you ever need some tips. If I was able to handle Goku, I certainly can handle another Saiyan.”

“Will do, thank you.”

Gohan continued, “As for the one near my dad, that would be my mother, Chi-Chi."

"It’s funny, really. I never thought I’d see another Saiyan. Just try to be a little well-mannered here and I think we’ll get along just fine,” the wife of Goku greeted him. Normally she wasn’t all that happy about all things Saiyan when it started turning everyone’s lives upside-down. But she appeared to be very used to it nowadays.

Gohan proceeded along with another female who had just joined everyone, sitting next to Goten at the table. “Then there’s the girl with the brown hair. She Goten's wife, Valese."

"Hey,” said Valese. She seemed to have a similar personality to that of Goten’s, but also appeared to have a down-to-Earth demeanor as well. “Honestly, I’m still getting the hang of completely understanding all of this alien stuff, but it’s not all that bad, really. So make yourself at home.”

“Yeah, I’ll do my best,” Koozan replies.

“The kid sitting next to my dad is Valese and Goten's son, Zero.”

"Yo!" Zero said still shoveling as much pizza into his mouth as possible, only to get a bit of a serious glare from his mother. He gulped his pizza down and sighed before making somewhat of an attempt to keep his eating ‘regular.’

"The last person here I want to introduce you to is my daughter, Pan."

"I know we got off to a suspicious start, but yeah. Nice to meet you,” Pan greeted him, offering to shake his hand.

"Nice to meet you too," said Koozan, returning the gesture. "So, is there anybody else I should know about?"

“Well, there are the other Z Fighters, as well as Vegeta’s…” Gohan stopped talking. There was a worried look in his eyes. Koozan looked at the other Z warriors. They all had the same look in their eyes. Gohan could help but blurt out, "Wha... what the heck is that!?"

"That power level… it's enormous!” Goku exclaimed. Even Vegeta seemed a bit shocked about this sudden discovery.

'What are they talking about?' thought Koozan. 'There's no way to find power levels without a Scouter… or is there?' Suddenly, he turned it back on, having forgotten to do so earlier. It began to make a beeping sound the moment it locked on to another signature far away. "He has arrived," Koozan said to himself, worriedly.

"Who has arrived!? Tell us now!" screamed Vegeta.

"Xicor didn't want any survivors. He must have sent Vile after me."

"Vile?" asked Zero. "He's your brother right?"

"Yeah,” he nodded with distaste.

“I've… never sensed someone with this much power in a long time,” Goku continued. "It’s… it’s almost like I’m getting a similar feeling to when I fought Lord Beerus, himself!"

"Uh… guys?" said Pan. "That power is heading straight for us…"

“Oh god no, why does it sound like an evil Saiyan is attacking again?” Chi-Chi began to panic.

“Don’t worry, hun. I won’t let it get out of hand,” Goku promised her.

She sighed, “You better… I was actually tolerating you all really well before.”

“Videl, Valese, you guys stay inside as well,” he told them before the power level began to draw closer to their location.

Within mere seconds, Vile was only a mile away from Kame House. A moment later, he was right outside, floating above the island premise. Everyone quickly rushed outside to see him. This was the Saiyan that Koozan said was his brother. His hair was shaped differently, and his eyes were dark green, which might have been a trait he gained from the human side of his family. Glaring at all of them, he eventually smirked when he noticed Koozan himself. "Long time no see, little brother," Vile spoke, “Xicor has sent me to kill you. But it seems like you managed to find an interesting crowd to hide in first.”

“Vile, you better not label me as a coward. I’m still going to fight you if I have to, and you know it!” Koozan growled.

“So that’s his brother,” Goku mumbled to himself, only to be called to attention by the visiting enemy.

“I’m sorry, could you please repeat that? I seem to be falling on deaf ears, lately,” Vile asked him.

Goku walked forward, showing his serious side once again. “I said, I take it you’re Koozan’s brother, yeah?”

“Indeed. You can call me Vile. But I’m sure he already mentioned my name, so I guess that was a waste of seconds.”

“Why…? Why would betray your own brother and family like that?!” He growled, seeking an immediate answer. But the young Saiyan seemed unmoved by the demanding tone presented. He sighed, shaking his head in indifference, “How many times have I heard ‘How could you?’ at this point in time? Sheesh, and they say Xicor’s motive is so redundant.”

“You brat, you better not take that tone with us. I have no qualms about ripping apart a kid who’d only bring harm to whoever comes an inch near him,” Vegeta threatened back. Vile floated down to the ground, trying to get an on-level look at these new people. “Pointed-up hair, I see… That makes you Prince Vegeta. But know this, I bow to nobody but my master, got it?”

“Dream on, kid,” Vegeta crosses his arms, “I’ve been down that road before and I definitely got sick of it.” He reflected upon his time working for Frieza, and how he quickly grew sick of it. It wasn’t until Planet Namek that he finally started to revolt against his former tormentor, even if he was still on his own evil terms. “Saiyan or not, this Xicor will prove to be someone you’ll eventually leave behind, and more specifically, leave with nothing but a corpse of what they once were remaining.”

Vile’s eyes widened in surprise. It might have seemed that Vegeta struck an idea, or at worst case a nerve with that comment. But instead, the older teen began to chuckle. “Haha… Hahaha! HAH! HAHAAAHAHAHA!” Vile seemed to lose slight control of his previous composure and broke into a maniacal laugh of sorts. “I don’t know who you once were the lapdog of, but do you seriously think I’d betray Xicor? Hah! Even the most rebellious would have found their way back to him. And if they didn’t… Well, my power may not be able to provide as much of an effect as he would, but…”

Vile suddenly threw his hand to the side, pointing it to the far horizon. It seemed as though he did it for no reason until suddenly, a huge wave of green Ki shot out without any warning. And it wasn’t haphazardly either, as it was concentrating plenty of his power on it. It shot across, seemingly shooting into nothing. When in fact, a huge, shaking explosion went off out in the distance. The tremor was greatly alarming, and the power felt was no joke. And the worst part of it was that he wasn’t even using a transformation at all.

The immense Reading was more than enough to overload Koozan’s Scouter, causing it to burst into smoke. He winced as his eye felt the shock, and lost what practically was his only way of sensing powers. “Damn it! This… this is…”

“Having trouble finding the words, Brother? I’d be the same if I were currently in your shoes.”

“Holy hell… th-that was…” Pan shook in fear.

“Central City, I believe you people call it,” Vile remarked, “And in case you’re wondering, I definitely wasn’t using my full power.”

“No… S-so many people… just died…” Goku commented, having sensed a massive amount of life forces flicker just like that. “YOU MONSTER!” he suddenly flared up a white aura just like Vegeta during his previous training. Yet his power seemed to shoot past what his Super Saiyan 3 form gave him.

He went to attack Vile with all of his current might, zipping past everyone with immense speed, socking a right-hook punch into his cheek. The force of the attack was enough to launch his body, yet he immediately caught himself and returned to a standing position, right before he reached the tide line. Vile smirked, “Ah, I’m sorry. Did I touch a nerve?” Though it left a small mark, he was perfectly fine.

“Wh… What? But that can’t… Grandpa Goku wasn’t holding back!” Pan stated, even though it might have been somewhat of a lie.

“Oh, I know. I mean, aside from the fact that I was following my brother, how else do you think I noted he wasn’t going to be alone?”

Vegeta put his arms out to the sides, preparing one of his powerful attacks. “Then perhaps I should send you to oblivion instead!”

“No, that won’t be necessary. I think I have a sense of what you Saiyans are capable of,” Vile held a hand out in a stopping gesture. "Luckily, I can tell that there’s more to you than meets the eye. I’d gladly kill you all right here and now for the sake of completing my mission. But instead, you just might be the next test that I will overcome, properly. That being said, I’m still going to kill Koozan, all of you, and then destroy this planet once I’m done. Well, then again, maybe I might be able to make some time to see what Xicor will think first. Maybe I’ll make an exception compared to the first time."

"So I was right, you blew up our home planet..." Koozan asked, dreading this moment.

"Yeah, along with all of its inhabitants. And, of course, the rest of our family,” he remarked without any inflection of guilt.

It took all of Koozan's strength not to punch him aimlessly at this very moment. "…I'll kill you for this Vile."

“You can try, but you'll only die trying. Which is why I'm gonna give you a day to train." Several times faster than the speed of light, he flew toward Koozan and stopped right in front of him. "Be ready to meet me afterward, or else this puny rock ball immediately gets destroyed.”

“Fine, where at?” Koozan asked, open to taking this chance and playing along.

His older brother simply responded, “In exactly 24 hours, meet me in South City.”

Something about that immediately made Pan flinch. It seemed as though there was something about South City that didn’t sit well with her. She immediately wanted to retaliate, but her father put a hand on her shoulder, signaling her to hold back. He knew exactly what she was thinking of.”

“See ya tomorrow. Oh yeah. I forget to tell you something. Even if you come, after I kill you, I’m going to make sure that everything involving you, me and our dead family never happened, ever. Start training Koozan. Start training for the day you will become nothing but a forgotten memory,” he proceeded to float away and drew further from the island before laughing once again. His aura flared, and with that, Vile was gone.

"…We’re gonna die," Roshi said.

"Don't jinx it!" everyone yelled at him.

Moments later, everyone was trying to calm down after that ordeal. The news was already going on about the mysterious explosion at Central City, and firstly explaining that by a stroke of luck, the King had barely survived. Meanwhile, Videl was calling up her father, while Pan was frantically texting somebody on we cell phone.”

“I’m sorry, this is all my fault,” Koozan sighed, sitting next to her.

“No, it’s fine. You did what was right. I would’ve done that too,” she assured him, even though she still had her own problem to worry about. Koozan couldn’t help but wonder what exactly she was doing, unaware of that sort of technology.

Pan explained as she sent the text message, “I didn’t think he’d say South City. A good friend of mine lives there, and assuming that Vile needs to kill time while we prepare… Oh god…”

“Hopefully he’ll be fine. I’m sure not everybody will be in the city when he comes, assuming that helps, anyway.”

“Well, not really… but I see what point you were trying to make. Thanks,” she said. It was at that point that Trunks arrived at Kame House. As Goten greeted him, he spoke, "Guys, I got here as soon as I could. What happened?"

"I'll summarize it all in two words," Zero began. "We're doomed."

"Who's that?" Koozan asked.

"Trunks, Vegeta's son," said Gohan.

"Oh. Hello Prince Trunks! I'm Koozan. I'm part Saiyan too!"

"Wait, he's a Saiyan!? How is he a Saiyan!? Wait, hold on, what’s going on here?!"

"Fine. I'll explain it to you..."

{Chapter End.}

Redux Writer’s Note: So for those that have followed me during my five years here on deviantART, you might be asking me, “Why are you doing this, Tempest?” To put it simply, I’ve enjoyed this story for as long as a good 2 or so years, when I was first introduced to the artists by finding their art. I felt they had something interesting going, even if those who’ve seen it before found it somewhat decent at best. But I also found myself becoming friends with Vortex and Crisis, especially through our time playing Xbox 360 and Xenoverse. The adventures we shared with legendarybrol were truly awesome. Heck, my Sunto and his Brol are technically part of the canon! But even so, our moments of fun still happen on Xbox One via Xenoverse 2, no doubt. Yet I definitely was always curious about the sudden stop of the story. Don’t get me wrong, I know why, and I understand it well. I was more or less curious as to if there was a chance that we together could help make it better. Even though this is unofficial, I’m doing this anyway, both to strengthen my writing skills once again and get back to my AU story, Sharpshot soon enough. But I’m also doing this as a test for fun, to see how I could take this from its humble beginnings, and see what it can look like with enough polish and knowledge. So with that said, thank you guys for reading this, and I hope you enjoy it all the same as something I did indeed write myself. Many thanks to Crisis and Vortex for being awesome, and now, here’s Vortex’s original note as to why the plot of GT was specifically disconnected from this story’s time period.

Original Author’s Note:
Let’s get one thing straight. Dragon Ball GT was not canon. However, some of the characters that only appeared there will make appearances in this story, but changes may be made to some of the character designs. For example, unlike in GT where Valese was too innocent, she will be made a lot smarter. Also, I can't give myself all the credit for this. A lot of the characters and story line was thought up by my best friend. Lastly, I know what a lot of you are thinking. You're thinking 'Why doesn't Goten marry Bra?' and 'Why doesn't Pan marry Trunks?' Well, the answer to that is we believe that there is too much of an age difference... Not to mention Vegeta would murder Goten and Pan. Thanks for reading! Remember to comment on what you thought about my story!

Update: I've decided to make a folder for this considering I felt was probably better off that way.

Dragon Ball X was something I discovered from my good pals, Koozan and VorticalFiveStudios back around the year of 2014, or at least, it was when I discovered their art for the first time, anyway. But since then, we've kept a decent bond going, especially through getting to enjoy some Xenoverse shenanigans here and there. But it has been a while since DBX ever got something new to keep it going as it might've a year or so ago.

Looking back, Crisis and Vortex know that while there was plenty of fun that primarily was the purpose behind the making of this series, it also had its fair share of flaws as well. Through this period of inactivity, and through my own as well, I figured it would be nice to have something to practice my writing with again, and perhaps breathe some fresh air into this enjoyable story once again. Though for now, these will only be going in my Scraps, as I absolutely do not want this series to be sort of like an exclusive to my page.

Don't get the wrong idea, this series is still created by Vortex and Crisis, and I simply am doing this having been given the permission to do so, especially as a way to show my respect for them, and enjoy the series once again, while also encouraging you guys to give them the support they deserve.

So enjoy the first chapter of the Redux Edition of Dragon Ball X!

I really love what you've done with the chapter. The additions you've made to it make it so much better. In this one chapter you've given the story more life than I did in the series' entirity.
